Teaching Religion in an independent Catholic college is fabulous and digital tools provide an avenue to invigorate the way that the subject is taught, using modern technologies to teach an ancient spirituality.
The resources below were created specifically for my classes but you may well find them equally as accessible for yours.

Preparing for Easter is a Spark Page with a collection of activities and videos. The cards are meant to be used as an orientation and reflection tool for the beginning of class. I used the cards to orient the students before then sharing a segment of a film of the Jesus Narrative which can be found on ClickView.
Another preparation for Easter Grade 7 page can be found here. It explores art depicting Holy Week and links to easter around the world.
A page for Grade 9 preparation for Easter can be found here. It uses a short video and then tasks students with exploring art and depictions of Holy Week. It requires students to complete a number of exercises and then to explore depictions of Holy Week. It also tasks the grade 9 students with creating an Adobe Spark Page to gather their reflections and preparation for Easter. Students create a comic for Grade 7.
Icons as a Focus for Prayer is a reflection that leads to students creating their own icons and then writing a prayer to affix to the back. Students create their own icons in a reflective and reflexive context, silently while appropriate music is playing in the background. This activity creates a state of flow that leads to a special ambiance and focus within the classroom. Young students are proud to display their work around the room and the icons are then used in daily prayer to start the day.
